van Orekhov took part in Code-Fest, annual conference, where he was invited to as an expert to discuss issues of modern IT-education in Russia.
The format of the discussion was comfortable, topics were chosen spontaneously, the event took place in a small hall (up to 100 places) any participant could take the floor.
The main assumptions of the meeting were:
University education results in: a specialist (a graduate) + a diploma (a document).
No people left (demographic situation).
The quality of knowledge and motivation are unacceptable for IT-business.
Who and why needs the diploma?
Who has the resources for one's own educational programmes?
What are the ways of IT-business penetration into education?
